  2. I’ve finally caught up with some of the details on this whole thing. I swear, I’m making a t-shirt that says, “you are just propagating the stereotype.”

    Ain’t that the fucking truth.

  3. If people could take out the political element of racial tension, it would be much easier to identify the root problem and create change in situations like these. (Easier said than done, but, really.) People that embody stereotypes do exist, but at the same time stereotypes are almost always over-generalization. The whole situation makes me angry. And I’m guessing that sign won’t do the trick for anyone.

You hit the nail on the head, Whythulc; identify the root of the problem.
As they say, two wrongs don’t make a right (but three rights make a left 😉)

  4. If people would stop creating racist situations and making it a cottage industry – maybe we could actually sort it out. It goes both ways – it would be nice if people could be people first, instead of whatever group that makes them a victim, first.

It does go both ways. I absolutely agree.
It’s sad and tragic that it got out of hand the way it did.
    Will we ever learn?

  5. *Sigh* I’m so tired of hearing ‘woe is me’. I don’t feel sorry for anyone anymore. Sad that it’s come to apathy.

We need to find a way to eliminate apathy and get to the other side.
There’s just not enough love in the world . . .
