Michael (revisited)

Wanted to let you all know that I posted my tribute to Michael McDonald at his website in the forum section.
I really wanted him to see it and if he doesn’t see it there, he never will.
It’s gotten some very positive responses from McDonald lovers everywhere.
If you want to check it out, click his picture.

  1. You and I don’t always agree when it comes to music, but this is one of those times when I’m in complete agreement with you. He has an amazing, soulful voice. Perhaps the highest complement I can pay him is that, unlike most artists, it is impossible (for me at least) to imagine anyone else doing any of his songs.

Very true. I remember hearing him in Manchester, NH years ago.
He did “When a man loves a woman”, the Percy Sledge tune.
I actually had goosebumps. It was so incredible.

  2. I’ve been walking on the treadmill for years, singing along with his songs, not knowing all that time who you were talking about. Last week, I didn’t sing along,,,I really listened to his voice for once and it was an incredible experience.
Now I have to get better earphones.
I feel the same way about Oprah, I could go on and on, and that doesn’t make me a lesbian.
Why do men feel if they pay another man a compliment, well, they’re closet fags or close.
I truly believe if you think someone is great,,,,,tell them; if they ring your bells……tell them…..if they knock your socks off…….tell them.
Sometimes a little praise goes a long way, and nobody ever tires of hearing how much joy they have given you., or maybe they have gotten you through some rough periods in your life. What better way than to tell them?

    I definitely told him.
I just pray he’s read it.

  3. I hope he reads it Michael, would be just the ultimate 🙂 Seems like you’ve found some kindred spirits over at that board btw 🙂

Anyone that loves McDonald as I do, gets it.
    Kind of cool.
